What are the ceramics materials?
The ceramic materials am compounds or inorganic solutions of metallic and non metallic elements. Due to his covalent and ionic links they are hard, fragile, have low electrical and thermal conductivity, due to this they are good thermal and electrical insulants.

Clasification
- Ceramic porous. They did not suffer vitrification, that is, the quartz with the sand does not get to melt. His fracture (when they "being fractured") is earthy, being totally permeable to the gases, liquids and greases. The most important are: Clays, the Italian and English crockeries, cooked and refractive.
- Ceramic raincoats and semiraincoats. It submitted them them at quite high temperatures in which the sand of quartz vitrifies completely. This way impermeable and harder products are obtained. The more distinguished: Common ceramic stoneware, fine ceramic stoneware, and porcelain.

Ejemplos

Examples
- Concrete. Result of the mixture of cement, sands and taxes that, joined to water form a mass resistant and of compact consistency. It is one of the most traditional materials used in the construction. It has a great density and hardness.
- Cement. Result of the mixture of limestone and clay. The property that has the cement is that as soon as it is put in contact with the water if it hardens, and due to this it is used as binder in mortars and concretes.
